Parent Coaching Services

Meet our Clinical Director, Ashley!

You are the expert on your child.

We #TeamUp with parents like you to teach you how to integrate speech therapy strategies into your child’s everyday life.

What is parent coaching?

Parent coaching is an empowering service designed specifically to equip you with the tools, techniques, and confidence to be an active team member in your child's therapy journey. We will teach you actionable strategies to support your child's speech and language development, right in the unique day-to-day rhythm of your own home. Think of it as a partnership where we guide you to become your child's most effective advocate and co-therapist, where we create progress between sessions and beyond.

How is parent coaching different from speech therapy?

In our family-centered therapy, we create a circle of support around your child, where the therapist leads the intervention. Parent coaching, on the other hand, is more like a training camp for YOU. It’s where we pass the baton and show you how to be the day-to-day expert in your child's communication journey.

Through our parent coaching program, you will receive:

  • Advanced coaching on creating communication opportunities in daily activities

  • A toolkit for managing challenging behaviors that may impede speech progress

  • Techniques for siblings or other family members to aid in speech development

  • Strategies for working with teachers and other professionals to address your child’s unique needs

  • Insight on navigating the IEP process in schools

  • Holistic approaches that consider the whole child

  • Customized "homework assignments" to extend the gains of therapy into daily life

  • Modeling language in play and targeting play skills that are foundational for language development
